Speaking in a Sunday meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Tehran Pang Sen, Hossein Amir Abdollahian highlighted Iran’s firm commitment to the JCPOA despite Washington’s failure to adhere to its commitments under the deal. “Iran proved its honesty to everyone but the US reneged (on the agreement) as usual and like (it did) in the past,” he noted. Iran allowed commercial lenders this month to buy foreign currencies using rial rates set by the market rather than those dictated by the central bank. Akbar Komijani, a deputy goveor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), said the regulator will be “responsible for this market and will guide it,” according to a report by Bloomberg on Sunday.
