The strikes near the town of Cukurca in a mountainous part of the border province of Hakkari come after a series of attacks launched by the PKK, which has fought a three-decade insurgency for Kurdish autonomy in southeaste Turkey, Reuters reported. Turkish military has frequently carried out airstrikes after a two-and-a-half-year ceasefire and peace process between the govement and the PKK broke down last summer. The ministry said Agriculture Minister Achim Irimescu and Kuwaiti counterpart Ali Saleh Al-Omair sustained head injuries Thursday moing in southe Romania after the car they were traveling was involved in a collision with another car, AP reported.  The ministry said both ministers were conscious and not in any danger. An interpreter traveling in the same car also had minor injuries. The three are being treated at the County Hospital in Slobozia, close to where the crash occurred. The crew of Admiral Kuznetsov, Russia’s only aircraft-carrying cruiser, is preparing for a deployment to the shores of Syria. A source in the Defense Ministry told RIA Novosti that the carrier is currently undergoing repairs and will be ready for the long-range operation by the end of September. "The carrier has arrived at the 35th dockyard to undergo a second stage of upgrades and to restore its technical readiness. All works are expected to be completed by the end of September when the ship will be ready for deployment," the source said. Speaking in a televised interview on Sunday night, Dehqan said different components of the domestically-made air defense system have been tested and the system itself has been deployed to the launch area to be tested. According to the minister, the first unit of Bavar-373 will be tested by the end of the current Iranian year (March 2017). President Hassan Rouhani has requested that the first practical test be carried out for intercepting ballistic missiles, Dehqan noted, adding that the air defense system will be mass produced afterwards. “MasterCard does not have any activities in Iran, as sanctions have remained in place for US-based companies for some time,” Seth Eisen told Azerbaijan's Trend news agency on Monday. "After the preparations are over and the rearmed regiment is redeployed, it will take part in the Caucaus-2016 strategic command and staff exercises," the district’s press office said, TASS reported. Medics said nine civilians were killed in a strike on a potato chip factory in the Nahda district of the capital. The Saudi-led coalition is backing forces loyal to the fugitive former govement of Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi. The coalition also forced the suspension of flights into Sana’a Inteational Airport for 72 hours from late Monday, an airport official and aid agency sources said, Reuters reported. “The Islamic Republic of Iran will show no tolerance in dealing with terrorism and will not sacrifice its major divine, ethical and legal values for some wrong and unfounded remarks and reactions by so-called advocates of human rights,” Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said Monday in a meeting of Judiciary officials, referring to criticisms regarding the execution of terrorists in Iran. He deplored the dual approaches of the West and some inteational bodies such as the UN and its High Commissioner for Human Rights, saying that while they have shown no noteworthy reaction to the terrorist crimes committed by Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) in Iraq and Syria, they describe Iran’s legitimate move against acts of terrorism as violation of human rights.Larijani regarded the spread of terrorist activities to the heart of Europe and the United States as a result of these very approaches adopted by the West toward terrorism. He also underscored that Iran will not let the country become a place for terrorist activities backed by certain reactionary regional regimes and will not allow Weste countries to interfere in its inteal affairs and national security.
