In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran on Sunday, visiting Omani Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi said the bilateral relations have reached a “premium level.” He also voiced the sultanate of Oman’s readiness to enhance relations with Iran in all fields. The Iranian minister, for his part, hailed Iran-Oman ties as a role model for the other countries.  Bahram Qassemi was reacting to comments by Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir who accused Tehran on Wednesday of “supplying weapons to Houthis” in Yemen and “destabilizing Arab countries”. “Saudi authorities are bogged down in a bloody quagmire of terrorism and massacre of innocent women and children in Yemen, Syria and Iraq as a result of their egregious strategic errors”, Qassemi said on Thursday. Speaking to reporters in Tehran on Wednesday, Seyed Hossein Mirshojaeean Hosseini said that during the first five months of the current Iranian year (which began on March 20), the administration has approved $7 billion as foreign investment, $1.6bln to $1.7bln of which has been absorbed. In the same period, non-oil exports of the country jumped by 10.22 percent, reaching $19.1 bln, he said, adding that the figure stood at $17.3 bln in the first five months of last year.He further highlighted the growing trend of Iran’s economy during President Hassan Rouhani’s term in office and particularly after the July 2015 nuclear deal between Tehran and other world powers, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Police conducted operations in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmit based on new evidence in the investigation. "The euro-based settlement system for South Korea-Iran trade will start on Aug. 29," Yoo Il-ho said as cited by Yonhap news agency recently. "The opening of the system will help further promote bilateral trade and investment (between the two countries),” he added. The finance minister further said the country’s KEB Hana Bank, Shinhan Bank and Woori Bank will handle the euro-based payment system, which uses the euro as a medium of trade, which is widely preferred by Iranian companies.
